Buildings in Paper Clipper are the main method of making paperclips in the game. Purchasing one costs paperclips and in-turn, automatically make paperclips for you. These buildings can be enhanced using upgrades which increases the production of the building, often by two times or more.

There are currently 19 buildings in the game, each providing increasingly better production for their value, allowing the player to progress more quickly through the game with each new building unlocked. Although, at some points, progression between each building may feel slowed, which is where the player can Ascend. Read more about ascending on the Ascension System page.
